By Jayna Smith

In Maine, more than 29,000 people are living with Alzheimer’s disease, according to the Maine chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. With that number comes over 69,000 family and friends who are providing care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s.

One man working to raise awareness and funds for research of the disease is Fred Kilfoil of Portland, and to do this, he is running the entire length of Maine from Fort Kent to Kittery.
