Heather Bowles, a teacher at Princeton Elementary School, has been nominated for the National Life Group LifeChanger of the Year Award, a national program that honors K‑12 educators and school staff who make a meaningful difference in the lives of students.

Bowles, a classroom teacher with more than 30 years of experience, has built a welcoming, bee‑themed learning environment that emphasizes kindness, respect, and inclusion, where students are encouraged to “Bee Kind, Bee Respectful, and Bee Humble.” Her classroom door greets students with the message, “Welcome to Mrs. Bowles’s Hive,” and she uses humor, drama, and art to make learning engaging and accessible to all.

The LifeChanger of the Year program, sponsored by National Life Group and its foundation, recognizes outstanding educators nationwide whose dedication and leadership positively impact students both inside and outside the classroom.
