Princeton Parks & Recreation’s Annual Costume Swap and Pumpkin Painting was held this past Friday, October 9.

Group President Amanda Diffin parked her trailer full of pumpkins by the side door. She had applied for a donation of the pumpkins from Calais Walmart, which they generously supplied.

Tables were covered with protective cloths, paint put in egg cartons, and brushes and water set out. Children enjoyed picking out their pumpkins and painting their own designs on their chosen one.

After drying the paint with a hair dryer, the children focused on the costumes, trying on the different masks and hats, picking out their favorite candy treat, and putting in a ticket for the Halloween Lego Kit drawing.

Overall the kids were so excited and happily made this event into a major play date with new friends.
