St. Croix Regional Family Health Center (SCRFHC) has once again been recognized nationally for its commitment to quality healthcare, receiving three 2025 Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) badges from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).

The health center received distinctions for Health Center Quality Leader – Bronze, Improving Health Care Access, and Advancing Health Information Technology (HIT) for Quality.

The Health Center Quality Leader – Bronze designation is particularly significant, placing SCRFHC among the higher-performing health centers nationwide for overall clinical quality. SCRFHC is the only health center in both Washington County and Hancock County to receive this recognition.

CEO Michael Farrell said the recognitions are a reflection of the dedication of the entire SCRFHC team and the organization’s commitment to providing compassionate, accessible, and high-quality care.

“These awards are not simply badges; they represent improved access, stronger patient outcomes, better use of technology, and the dedication of people who genuinely care about the health and well-being of rural Maine.”

Farrell also emphasized that the achievement belongs to the entire organization — from clinical and quality staff to administrative, operational, and support teams — as well as the patients, board members, and community partners who put their trust in SCRFHC.

“While we are grateful for this recognition, we also view it as encouragement to continue raising the standard of care for the communities we are privileged to serve,” Farrell added.

The recognitions are based on performance data reported through HRSA’s Uniform Data System and recognize community health centers demonstrating strong results in clinical quality, patient outcomes, access to care, and the effective use of technology.
