On Monday, November 1, patrons at Irene Chadbourne Ecumenical Food Pantry in Calais had the opportunity to receive fresh-pressed apple cider, thanks to Healthy Acadia.

Rae Rowell, AmeriCorps volunteer with Healthy Acadia, was onsite pressing locally-grown apples into fresh, tangy-sweet cider.  “The initiative I am working on is Ending Hunger in Maine by 2030, and so my job is to help Healthy Acadia meet some of the goals that are in that initiative.”
