Burst Water Pipes Force Closure of Calais Middle/High School and Others

At least four area schools were closed on Monday–with two of those with closures extended beyond that day–after record-breaking freezing temperatures and wind chills led to frozen and burst pipes.

On Sunday evening, parents and students from Calais Middle/High School received word that school would be canceled on Monday, Feb. 6 due to water line breaks.
