Nurses’ Union Adds Pressure to Hospital Management with ‘Vigil for Patient Safety’

Approximately 70 people gathered last Thursday night at the downtown triangle park for a “Vigil for Patient Safety.”  Organized by Maine State Nurses Association (MSNA) members from Calais Regional Hospital (CRH), the purpose of the event, according to the MSNA members, was to draw attention to patient care conditions and employee treatment at the hospital.  Joining the nurses were other hospital staff and community members in support of their efforts.
