Woodland High Recognizes Top 10 Graduates

On May 9, 2024, Woodland High School celebrated its top 10 graduating seniors at an assembly attended by family and friends.
Leading the class as valedictorian is Hudson DePriest, son of Jerry and Sonya DePriest. Hudson is set to embark on a journey studying civil engineering at University of Maine, Orono.
Following closely behind as salutatorian is Chloe Hoyt, daughter of Josh and Ruby Hoyt. Chloe’s aspirations lie in marine veterinary medicine, which she’ll pursue at University of Maine, Orono.
Claiming the third spot is Jaiden Wormell, son of John and Tina Demmons and the late Scott Wormell. Jaiden’s path leads to Northern Maine Community College, where he'll focus on electrical maintenance and construction.
In the fourth position stands Kyrsten Stegman, daughter of Miranda Wolford, who will further her studies in pharmacology at Husson University.
Ranked fifth is Rylee Kinney, daughter of Joshua and Cortney Kinney, with aspirations of becoming a pediatrician. She’ll commence her journey at Washington County Community College before transferring to a four-year university.
Phoebe Thornton, daughter of Ryan and Paula Thornton, secures the sixth position with plans to study business at Washington County Community College.
Brooke Smith, daughter of Sheridan and Valerie Smith, clinches the seventh spot and will pursue her passion for law at Thomas College.
Eighth in line is Dakota Nicholas, son of Ed and Andrea Hanson, who will attend University of Maine, Orono, to study civil engineering.
Evan McArthur, son of Amy Hold, takes the ninth spot and will focus on plumbing and heating at Northern Maine Community College.
In the tenth position is Benjamin Morrison, son of Wayne and Amy Morrison, who will specialize in diesel mechanics at Eastern Maine Community College.
